ARP Head Studs are recommended when you are starting to make any kind of horsepower with the duramax. These head studs fit the years 2001-2016 equipped with the Duramax. ARP head studs are rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength which provides the clamping force required to keep cylinder heads from lifting due to higher combustion pressures.
